Thanks to its higher native resolution, the 5.7K sensor produces a more detailed image by switching to 4K, UHD, 2K and even 720p. The increased amount of color information ensures a sharper and more accurate final image. ?Native dual ISO 800 and 2500 The EVA1 offers native dual ISO, like VariCam 35, VariCam LT and VariCam Pure. This technology is based on a process that reads the sensor in a fundamentally different way in order to extract more information from it without degrading the image. The camera can therefore switch from standard sensitivity to high sensitivity without increasing noise or producing any other artifacts. With native dual ISO, DOPs can use less light on set, saving time and money while increasing their artistic choices. ??V-Log and V-Gamut Every cinematographer needs to be able to capture accurate colors and rich skin tones. Like the VariCam line of cinematographic cameras, the EVA1 features V-Log/V-Gamut capture providing 14 steps of extended dynamic range and a wide color spectrum. The V-Log curve exhibits characteristics not unlike those of negative film, while the V-Gamut curve offers an even wider color space than film. The EVA1 will also embed the colorimetry of the VariCam range, whose reputation is second to none. 4K 60 fps/2K 240 fps high frame rate recording Users can choose between enveloped MOV codecs up to 10-bit 4:2:2 even in 4K, or alternatively AVCHD. Internally recording 4K, UHD, 2K, Full HD and HD, the EVA1 offers up to 59.94 fps/50 fps for 4K/UHD, up to 120 fps/100 fps for 2K/Full HD or 240 fps/200 fps (cropped area) for fast image acquisition. Filming Close to the Action With a featherweight 1.2 kg (body only), compact form factor (17 cm x 13.5 cm x 13.3 cm) and removable handle, the EVA1 can be used for effective handheld shooting applications and can also be mounted on a drone, gimbal or arm to provide complex yet smooth camera movements.
