 This friction magic arm kit is identical to the Manfrotto model 143A , but without total locking. The blocking lever is replaced by a wheel which allows to adjust the friction and the blocking of the arm.

The latter will allow you to make finer adjustments in order to obtain the expected effects and thus to modify your setting without having to put all the parts of the magic arm back in place.
