Introducing the Canon EOS R5 C The Canon EOS R5 C is a hybrid cinema camera that combines the Cinema EOS and EOS R ranges in a single device. Thus, it is positioned under the Canon C70 and alongside the R5. It incorporates the same 45MP full-frame sensor and the same DIGIC processor as the latter and offers a multitude of similar characteristics, such as sensitivity down to -6 EV, burst at 12ips in mechanics and 20ips in electronics. It is on the video part that the R5C stands out from the R5 by offering video recording in 8K 12 bits (Cinema RAW Light) up to 60fps. Note, however, that you will need to add an external power source for shots above 8K30p. The camera also stands out from the R5 by benefiting from the same electronic stabilization as the C70. Although it is lighter than the R5 and benefits from 13 customizable buttons, it has ergonomics very close to the latter with a main dial, 2 quick control dials, an AF multicontroller, a top panel display, an 8cm LCD screen at 2.1MP, 1 CFexpress slot (type B) and an SD UHS-II slot. In terms of connectivity, here too the R5C is similar to the R5 with support for bluetooth, 5GHz and 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi. It is also compatible with the optional WFT-R10 Wireless Transmitter. Finally, the Canon R5 C is powered by an LP-E6NH battery which is recharged via USB via PD-E1. It can also operate with mains power via the DR-E6C and CA-946 mains coupler. All of this is included, along with an AC adapter.
